Banking News – Adeeb Ahamed, Managing Director of LuLu Financial Holdings, will be one of the eminent speakers at the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) in Mumbai this October. He will represent the UAE financial sector, bringing insights from his leadership in cross-border remittances, foreign exchange, financial inclusion, and digital finance innovation.
His session is expected to cover how financial services companies in the Middle East are adapting to disruptions such as digital payments, regulatory changes, and evolving customer expectations. Stakeholders in fintech, banking, remittances, and regulation are likely to benefit from his perspectives on scaling operations across geographies, integrating new technologies, and serving underserved communities.
Adeeb Ahamed currently serves as the Managing Director of LuLu Financial Holdings, an ISO-9001:2015 certified financial services group headquartered in Abu Dhabi. The company operates more than 350 branches with a workforce of nearly 3,000 employees across 10 countries. In addition to his role at LuLu Financial, he also heads Twenty14 Holdings, a hospitality investment group with a portfolio of landmark properties worldwide.
Born into a family of entrepreneurs, Adeeb pursued undergraduate studies at Les Roches International School of Hotel Management and later completed his Master’s in International Management from Royal Holloway, University of London. In 2009, he founded LuLu Exchange, which has since grown into a leading financial services provider offering remittances, foreign exchange, and digital payment solutions. Over the years, he has expanded the company’s branch network and extended its operational footprint across the GCC, India, APAC, and other regions.
His contributions to financial inclusion and fintech innovation have been widely recognised, and he was recently featured among the “Indian Visionaries 2025.” Adeeb is also actively involved in leadership and advisory roles, serving as the Chair of FICCI’s Middle East Council and as a member of the World Economic Forum’s South Asia Regional Strategy Group. He also advises several financial and regulatory bodies in the UAE, reflecting his strong influence in shaping the regional financial landscape.
