Banking News– Shuklaphanta Municipality in Kanchanpur has prohibited unauthorized mobile trading and business operations without prior approval.

The municipality has warned that anyone conducting business within its jurisdiction using transport vehicles without obtaining prior permission will face legal action in accordance with prevailing laws.
According to Chief Administrative Officer Khemraj Bista, the decision was made following complaints about unauthorized businesses operating through motorcycles, horse carts, rickshaws, mini trucks, and other vehicles without municipal approval.
The municipality stated that most of those engaged in unauthorized mobile trading in local markets and rural areas are Indian nationals. Bista clarified that anyone found operating such businesses without prior approval will be subject to legal action.
In addition, the municipality has launched measures to make roads safer and reduce public hazards. It has moved to discourage the practice of tying livestock or storing construction materials including sand, gravel, stones, timber, bricks, and soil along roadsides and in other public spaces.
The municipality has also urged residents not to dump construction materials on roads or excavate roadways without prior approval, noting that such activities obstruct traffic and increase the risk of accidents.
“Anyone found obstructing or damaging roads will face action under the Municipality’s Road Standards Procedure, 2076,” Chief Administrative Officer Bista said.
The municipality added that municipal police have been deployed to conduct regular monitoring and public awareness campaigns aimed at removing road encroachments, preventing unauthorized trade, and ensuring public compliance.
