Banking News – Police have arrested a man accused of impersonating a senior police officer and threatening members of the public by falsely identifying himself as “SP Dilip Ghimire from the Crime Investigation Division.”

The suspect has been identified as Rajkumar Alemagar, a permanent resident of Belkotgadhi Municipality-12, Nuwakot, who is currently residing in Hattigauda, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-6.

According to police, Alemagar had been introducing himself as a police officer to intimidate and exert unnecessary pressure on members of the public. During questioning following his arrest, he allegedly argued with police personnel, created a public disturbance, and engaged in disorderly conduct.

Police apprehended Alemagar from the road section in front of Singha Durbar in Kathmandu. The Kathmandu District Administration Office has granted a five-day remand for further investigation into the case.
