Kathmandu, Nepal – Former Prime Minister and current Chairman of the CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, has begun providing testimony in the Patanjali land corruption case. The hearing is being conducted by a special bench of the Special Court, comprised of Judges Tejnarayan Singh Rai, Ram Bahadur Thapa, and Bidur Koirala.
The case, which appears as the first item on Bench No. 2 of the court’s daily hearing schedule, follows a formal charge filed by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on June 4, 2025 (22 Jestha 2082 B.S.).
The corruption allegations pertain to irregularities in the allocation of land to Patanjali Yogpeeth, a matter that has sparked public and political scrutiny. The Special Court has now officially commenced hearings to examine Nepal’s involvement in the case.
